I present 46 digital images to illustrate 1) learning to use my new Nikon d7000 camera and 2) essaying our annual winter escape to Myrtle Beach SC. I think the images are self explanatory. All images are off camera; not retouched in any way. You will notice several self portraits of me from reflective surfaces; my signature way of recordsing that I was on the scene doing my foto thing.

Note 1: The large criters in water other than varioius birds-- 5 dolphins swimming in marsh at Murrells Inlet SC. As I peruse the images, I am taken by the relationships (totally coincidental at fotografing time) between the oyster images and my new plaster sculpture. Does art imitate nature or nature imitate art?

Note 2: The single image of the line drawing on black black ground. This camera is fascinating. I can set the camera to make precise and clear night images or timed exposures at night. I went crazy and took many night shots as elaine drove us back to the condo after an evening event. This image is an expsosure of around 1 second; I moved the camera to produce the lines which are the tail lights and head lights on cars on the road. Yes! Soon I will do a more indepth essay on new photographs and oter digital manipulations.
