The selected images cover studio production from September 2016 to December 2017. I create montages consisting of digital photographs both found and my own. A computer is used to disassemble and reassemble images. I use Surrealism and Minimalism sprinkled with a generous amount of Automatism. Improvisation is the thing for me. I like to make it up as I go along. I like the drama Surrealism establishes; a sense of mystery where the question is asked, “what is it?” A partial answer to this questing is: People relating to people; themselves and others, somehow connected to an event defined by the picture's borders. I explore feeling and experience of “isolation”; getting away from the noise of life; solitude, comfort or discomfort with one's self; being within one’s skin. Regardless of how one feels about human sociology, we experience life from a unique and individual perspective. Even when engaged with a group, we experience the group though data gathered by our senses and interpreted by our brain. What is interpreted remains personal.
