August 2011. Some small sculptures. Revisited Friday, June 13, 2014 In August of 2011, I did a series of test photo sessions with my newly purchased Nikon D7000 DSLR. I had forgotten about focal plane shutters and the strange and weird colors that appear in images when photographing under fluorescent lighting; must sync shutter speed to 60 cycles/min on/off business in fluorescent tubes. Here are the final results. The cream colored pieces are paper mache clay. The white pieces are plaster of Paris. The other materials shown are obvious; I think! Images #8 through #18 are in various states of drying; damp spots are observable on some of the plaster works. |
